50 West Broadway, South Boston, MA

TMD Designs was involved in the development and execution of the interiors for 50 West Broadway, a mixed use development in South Boston, MA. The six story building contains 139 rental units as well as ground floor retail space and below grade parking. The site is the former Cardinal Cushing High School and is located in "one of the most exciting and up coming neighborhoods in Boston." Given its close proximity to the Broadway T station the community has attracted a lot of young urban professional residents. This unique demographic greatly influenced the design criteria for the interiors which was to create a contemporary urban aesthetic within a welcoming and safe environment. Also, it was very important to the client and design team for this project to be "green" and we made smart choices during the design and construction phases including; energy efficient construction methods, appliances, lighting and eco-friendly materials.
